create a business card in Photoshop part 1

Hello everyone , today I'm going to present a tutorial on How to create a business card in Photoshop. If you have little bit idea about Photoshop and it's tools, then you can easily create an awesome business card using these tools. I'm going to present this tutorial in 3 segments. So, you can easily grab each and every part of business card design. Here is the first part of designing business card.
What is business card?

Business cards are cards bearing business information about a company or individual. They are shared during formal introductions as a convenience and a memory aid. A business card typically includes the giver's name, company affiliation (usually with a logo) and contact information such as street addresses, telephone number(s), fax number, e-mail addresses and website. It can also include telex, bank account, tax code. Traditionally many cards were simple black text on white stock; today a professional business card will sometimes include one or more aspects of striking visual design.

Lets have a look which card we are going to design.

Part 1: Create a PSD file
Open Photoshop CS/CS2/CS3. Go to File>New . Then you will find following image. Set image size 1034 X 567. Then press OK.


Part 2: Create business card holder frame



Now, press "U" in keyboard for Custom Shape Tools. Now pick "Rounded Rectangle  tools" form top menu in  in Step 2 . Set Rectangle radius in Step 3 , for our business card we set it 10, finally setup color in Step 4. Please color as your own choice. We set color Deep blue (#00274c) .
Part 3: Create card frame



In part 3 we learn how to create a card frame. Please Follow Part 2 and create another rectangle over card holder frame. Then pick the new card frame and follow Step 2. Click in Fx button then you will found blending options. From this options choose Gradient overlay option in Step 3. Now setup gradient colors. Follow Step 4 and click on the gradient color, then set your preferable colors in Step 5. Here I'd used 2 colors #49d2e3, #1bb0fd. If you setup colors successfully then press OK. Photoshop has a nice option to preview changes instantly. I loved it.

Part 4: Create card top styling

Now we put a style in the top of the card. Please have a look in card. How to create this style?? Just open another psd file . Create a rectangle shape with rectangle tools. Then click on this shape. Press Ctrl+Shift and move mouse in left. simple, i hope you can do it easily. Then drag shape and drop it over our card.
